Warm Greetings from SOEM-MMA

 Thank you for giving me the honour of leading a highly esteemed organisation.

My due respects goes to all those who have pioneered in setting up and helmed the society over the years. I have had the privilege of serving and working with respected leaders within the society for the past six years. A valuable experience indeed. Thanks to the immediate past Chairperson Associate Prof. Dr Retneswari Masilamani for her effort in keeping the flag flying and maintaining the best standards of the society.

 My committee, young and able, with the support of the experienced, will continue to deliver our aspirations for the future of Occupational Health in Malaysia. Occupational Health in Malaysia goes a long way and we have achieved many a milestone despite the challenges. The Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Malaysian Medical Association, will continue to work with the various stake holders to achieve that goal of improving the physical, mental and social well being of the working population. In order to achieve the said goal we continue to strive to improve quality by updating all our Occupational Health Practitioners with Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

 Many events have been slotted for the ensuing year. We are in the process of providing doctors under the SOCSO insurance scheme with the necessary requirements. The 4th. Regional Conference on Occupational Health is scheduled to be held from 24^th. to 26^th. June 2011.

Special thanks to my committee and secretariat who will be supporting me all the way to achieve our goals. A special appreciation and thanks to PERKESO who have always supported us in all our endeavors.
